The current Moroccan government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, is focusing on a number of major projects and structural reforms aimed at strengthening the economy and improving the social welfare of society. His government emphasizes the importance of investing in renewable energy, water management and infrastructure development as part of recovery efforts following the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of the top priorities is expanding basic health insurance coverage to all citizens, regardless of social or economic status. Other efforts include improving the quality of basic health services, expanding education programs, and providing subsidies for basic necessities products to maintain people’s purchasing power.
Apart from that, the government is also committed to reducing unnecessary spending as part of its budget savings policy. However, these savings will not reduce investment in strategic sectors such as energy and infrastructure, which are considered vital for long-term economic growth.
On the other hand, the Moroccan government continues to strengthen development projects in various regions, including a large project in the city of Agadir which aims to make it a major tourist destination and improve the quality of life of residents through the development of better infrastructure.
Another challenge faced is the water crisis, which has prompted the government to pay more attention to the management of water and energy resources, while continuing to encourage investment in projects related to environmental sustainability.
With this comprehensive approach, the Moroccan government hopes to achieve economic stability, increase women’s economic participation, and ensure inclusive and sustainable growth
